Mercedes Walker is a writer, producer and director with a specialty in science and anthropology filmmaking. She holds an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree in television journalism, biology and anthropology, as well as a B.A. in music, from Rutgers University. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, U.S.A. Her global interests include environmental issues, medicine, food, agriculture, human rights, conflict resolution, cultural trends, world music, land and species conservation, genetics, ornithology, international business and global media.
